At the
Livable Learning egroup I offer reflections on the moral and spiritual formation of the Teacher. We will study by way of three cycles of formation:
Cycle One: Preparing the Heart and the Home
Cycle Two: Directing
the Mind and the Materials
Cycle Three: Following the Child and the Church
Cycle
One resources include "How to Bring Simplicity and Spirituality into your Daily Living" by John Michael Talbot for
spiritual direction, and "From Creative Chaos to Livable Learning" authored by me, for moral preparation.
To morally prepare ourselves we have to examine our practical day to day living and to recognize
any bad habits we have given into, and to identify whatever lies we have absorbed through our environment. I highly
recommend programs such such as
LIFE Inc and
Dave Ramsey's Finanical Peace University, for the support of financial mentorship and for the resources to dig down to the roots of one's behavior.
From Creative Chaos to Livable Learning
Written by a mother of eight children, this is a Family Guide to Sanity.
Uses reflections on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit to prepare the heart.
Uses the Fruits of the Holy Spirit to evaluate disorder.
Easy to read, step-by-step program.
Designed to help homeschooling families achieve order in their homes.
Serves as an introduction to Montessori philosophy.
From Creative Chaos to Livable Learning ebook
"The simplicity of your book is genius. Everything seems to be broken down very
simply, yet completely, which is a plus for homeschooling moms (who live in chaos). I have been making Holy Hours with the
kids and this is a great book for me to focus on myself for a change. You know, the MM (Montessori Method) teacher must grow." ~
